Four middle aged nymphomaniacs from New York ,Manhattan feel they are free to minx with anonymous to parade their autonomy.Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Brawdshaw is usually so stuck up on Mr.Big she wouldnt mind dallying with him as well as Adrian at the same time acting cute with faux confusion.A columnist who herself is clueless and listless about relations per se and smokes like a chimeny.An example of hairbrained bimbo with unhealthy lifestyle and a huge appetite for hanky panky tellings.With a guiltless stomach for two-timing and is still clueless why they dont seem to work.How can infidelity ever work?A silly baggage with little way with scripted words who lives in denial and has no control over her two-timing accessory that she carries with her along with her fixation for shoes.Isnt self-sufficiency begotten from a successful lifework often the result of good thinking?Why are these go-getters so disappointed in love when all they do is hit the sack with a new man they hunt just about anywhere.What is love to them anyway?Women in this show seem to have been dedicated to debauchery and unhealthy indulgence and yet whimper about being single.Are they really dumb enough or live in denial?Not only do they give a very sleazy impression of what success and emotional independance means to their stereotypical feminist uproar of liberation but also paint a sorry picture of themselves to the world.
However,what I never really understand is the irony that lies in creating a brouhaha about women’s lib and then comparing your abilities with that of men.If you are so liberated,why do you feel the need to compare your abilities and achievements to that of male genre?The likes of Oh,if they can do it,so can we.Why are we still chained to the thought of proving our equality or superiority?Doesnt self-knowledge per se ,set us free?Why do we have to strive to be in a man’s shoes to prove our abilities?Arent we self-sufficient doing and knowing what we are capable of doing?
Kim Cattrall aka Samantha Jones would put Tiger Woods to shame with her need to gulp hormonal pills even after crossing the age of fifty to keep up with her carnal life.Her patented tomfoolery -’Women are for friendship and men are to F***’ doesnt go well with her ownself when she realises the need to have a caring and a loving man in her life,esp when shes has to brook with flu and none of her playmates come to her rescue.If the show is meant to tackle social issues,sexuality,feminism,et al,they are in fact escalating the issues by being a bad influence on impressionable minds.They have potrayed women as coquettish galahs worried at somepoint of time about their sexcapades in direct connection to their health.That is the degree of irresponsibilty these women portray in the veil of free-living.
Kristin Davis aka Charolette is usually mocked for yearning to have true love and dreams of a fulfilling family.This is how they are addressing the modern feminist issues,by deriding a woman amongst the four who ideates having a stable life and is capable of having healthy emotions and a good sense of right and wrong.
Cyntia Nixon aka Miranda is a strong woman with an admirable degree of pragmatism,sees her relations as they are and isnt unrealist in her expectations.Being fiercely sovereign,knows what she wants and what is not acceptable to her and isnt effected by socio-economic stratum when it comes to dating a person she can connect with.
This show is preoccupied with promiscuity and desperation of middleaged women to appear young and fashionable to a degree where there are very few insights on the dynamics of relations limned.This show is all spiced up to draw the attention of the audience but not for long when all there is to it is a soft skinflick with tidbits of story thrown in.
Indira Nooyi,Margaret Thacher and the likes of these women will always stand the realistic examples of tough,headstrong independent women.Success and prosperity are two different things.Success is fully achieving materialistic requirements,prosperity is having materialistic success along with inner peace,calm and harmony.Certainly philandering has never seen the light in the same row of prosperity;be it for the likes of Christopher Marlow or these women in the show.
